Single Parents
In 2007 alone, there were 287 parental abductions in Canada. 44% of the children were under age 5 and 31% were between the ages of 6 and 11 with the average being 8 years old. Most children were located within a year of being abducted with about 1/3 located in Canada, 1/3 having crossed into the US, and about 25% located in other countries. All parents involved felt the abduction had caused undue stress and emotional harm to the child. Amber Alert GPS can help to avert such abductions giving single parents increased “peace of mind”.
