Amber Alert GPS was founded by Mr. Russell Thornton in Salt Lake City, Utah after he lost his son at an amusement park. Fortunately for Russell, he recovered his son safely and the story had a happy ending. But Russell recounts that he never forgot the painful empty feeling that took his breath away while not knowing the where abouts of his 3 year old son. Although his son was only missing for 45 minutes to Russell it seemed an eternity. If you are reading this and have a child, you can well imagine that helpless feeling to which Russell refers. It was that sinking feeling that Mr. Thornton converted into an incredible passion to protect children. It was that passion that drove him to develop what we are introducing to you today, the Amber Alert GPS Global Monitoring System, state of the art Child Protection Technology.

Amber Alert GPS Canada

Amber Alert GPS Canada Inc. was founded in 2009 by Mr. Kenneth M. Corey in Vancouver, British Columbia. Mr. Corey, a highly experienced high tech entrepreneur, envisioned the creation of a Child Protection System which would provide Canadian families state of the art technology tools to protect their children with. After several months of research and thorough investigation into the child protection sector the obvious choice was made. In July of 2009, Mr. Corey boarded a plane to Utah and met with Russell Thornton and his team at Amber Alert GPS and within 2 weeks of that date, Amber Alert GPS Canada Inc. was born.

Strategic Partnership

Bruce Seybert, the original creator of the Amber Alert System and the owner of the Amber Alert trademark is on the Utah based Amber Alert GPS advisory board. Mr. Seybert is extremely passionate about child safety and fully endorses the Amber Alert GPS Global Monitoring System. The company has also received the endorsement of Seybert’s co-founder Mrs. Donna Woodson-Norris the mother of Amber Hagerman, the young girl for whom the Amber Alert system was named. Amber Alert GPS has received the blessing and legal permission from the non-profit Amber Alert national network for the use of its name in order to leverage awareness for this powerful program. In return, the for-profit company will donate a portion of the company proceeds in order to strengthen and improve the Amber Alert System. As well, Amber Alert GPS Canada will fund the annual award, “Commitment to Kid’s”, in memory of Amber Hagerman.
